100 Day

Take a look at our very old class!

After every 10 gumballs we put into the gumball machine we did 10 exercises.   We had to work out our 'old bones'!

We had a great time brainstorming things we wanted 100 of, and things we did not want 100 of.

Here are some things we hope to have accomplished or be doing when we reach 100 years old.  I used the app aging booth to age their faces.

St Patrick's Day

St Patrick's Day shenanigans!  We had a silly Leprechaun visit our room this week.

We used what the Leprechaun left behind to do some graphing.

St Patrick's day gave us some laughs, but it also gave us an opportunity to see that Christ is in everything.  Using the clover, with our 5th grade buddies, we discovered the history behind St Patrick's day and what the clover represents.

March Happenings

In Bible, we are on a journey to the cross as we study Jesus' life.  Our God's Big Word this month is Sacrifice.  In addition to our Bible stories, we used the story The Spiffiest Giant in Town to help us understand and visualize what sacrifice means.

Creating a palm branch to lay before Jesus as he rode into Jerusalem.  We shouted, 'Hosanna!' together as we read.

We have been taking a look into fairy tales in the last few weeks.  Here are some of the activities we did with The Three Little Pigs.   Next week, we will be comparing and contrasting different versions of the story.  We also explored Goldilocks and the Three Bears.

Here we are listening to the story on tape.  We turned the lights off to help us imagine what was taking place.

Airplane Math! As pilots, we took turns landing the plane on the run way.

One of the questions on our 'I Wonder' board was:  'Where do the buses go after they drop us off?'  We took a trip to the WSCS bus garage to discover the answer.  Mrs. K taught us all about the garage and the buses.

Uu week got a little silly with stories about underwear!
(I cannot get this picture to flip!  Sorry!)

We made our own bear in underwear.

Chalk Letters

While studying the letter Ss, we decided to pretend we were superheros!  In the pictures below, we are pairing up and sharing the number on our partners super hero mask.
